Dear Exhibitor,

I know some of you are already considering the design and build for your stands at MACH and if you haven’t briefed a stand before, are going out to tender for a new stand contractor or simply have no clue where to start then you may find the below guidance helpful.

MACH has strict rules and regulations regarding space only stand builds and including the following

information with your brief will help your stand builder create a design that complies with the rules:

  1. A copy of the MACH Stand Build Regulations (attached)
  1. A link to the MACH Contractor Zone:

Here they can find the technical plans, build timetable and the exhibitor manual (when launched)

  1. Remind them to include your stand number – this is a compulsory requirement for space only builds
  1. Your stand details – the contract for space includes your stand dimensions, open sides, any obstructions like pillars and the stand number. All basic information that your stand builder will need.
  1. If you are planning to have machinery exhibits on the stand, be sure to include the footprints for these with your brief and make sure that you have read the Stand Build Regulations clause 7 which outlines where setbacks are required on machinery.
  1. List what the stand must have in order to do what you need it to, options to consider include:
  1. Display areas
  2. Storage
  3. Services
  4. Flooring type
  5. Meeting/hospitality space
  6. Information/central management point
  7. Competition/game space

The list is fairly variable depending on your goals but make sure you have the basics down before you add the bells and whistles.

  1. If you have a main objective for the show – raising your company profile, launching a new service or showcase product capabilities then let your stand designer know.

If you need a stand contractor or other supplier and are not sure where to start then the trade association for event suppliers, ESSA has a directory of members who supply a variety of different exhibition service. Click Here to visit the page.

A reminder that the Exhibitor Manual with all the H&S and service order forms doesn’t launch until the Autumn but we will let you know when this goes live.
