Chairman’s Welcome – 2026 Members’ Directory

As Chairman of the MMMA, I am delighted to welcome you to the 2026 Members’ Directory. I trust this publication will serve as a valuable tool in helping us collectively achieve our shared goals.

At the heart of the MMMA’s activities lies the highly anticipated MACH Exhibition, an event of particular significance to our association. Central to this is the Metalworking Village, which we proudly host on a biennial basis. The Village truly embodies the spirit of the MMMA, providing a unique platform for customers, professionals in training, and sales specialists to experience first-hand the latest advancements in sheet metal and forming technologies. I am especially pleased that this key feature is now firmly established as a mainstay in Hall 6.

Showcasing new developments is always an exciting prospect, and this year’s event promises to be no exception. Within the Metalworking Village, visitors will witness a comprehensive demonstration of a wide range of cutting-edge technologies, presented in real time and actively manufacturing components before their very eyes. These live demonstrations are delivered by our esteemed MMMA members and reflect the very best of our sector’s innovation and expertise.

Alongside unveiling new technologies, we are equally enthusiastic about welcoming new members to our community. This is particularly significant with the addition of the iconic ISME (Institute of Sheet Metal Engineers) to our organisation. This partnership not only strengthens engagement with the MMMA but also encourages participation from manufacturers and users of our members’ products. The 2026 Metalworking Village in Birmingham is set to attract industry professionals from across the globe, making it a truly exceptional event for the sectors we serve and for the combined MMMA and ISME community.

I would also like to highlight the MMMA Gala Dinner, an annual occasion where we celebrate excellence and recognise outstanding talent within our industry through our prestigious awards programme. This year, we are expanding the awards ceremony to further honour the exceptional contributions made by individuals and businesses across the manufacturing sector.

As Chairman, it is a privilege to lead an organisation that not only recognises the importance of our industry but actively advocates for the diverse needs of its members. This includes support across technology adoption, workforce development, human resources, and financial guidance.

Our mission at the MMMA is to raise the profile of our members’ businesses and products within the manufacturing sector through a range of initiatives. These include a strong and growing social media presence, as well as strategic collaborations with leading financial institutions such as Lloyds, Compass Finance, and Finance for Industry—specialists in funding solutions for engineering, print, plastics, and machinery.

Together, the MMMA and ISME serve as a unified voice for our industry, providing a platform for open dialogue and constructive discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing our members. These range from financial pressures to regulatory compliance and wider industry concerns.

Reflecting on our journey, I am immensely proud of the MMMA’s growth over the past 14 years, evolving from a small association into a strong and vibrant membership community. This growth is a testament to the resilience and vitality of UK manufacturing, which remains a cornerstone of both the national economy and the global manufacturing landscape.

Looking ahead, there is a clear and urgent need for continued government investment and support for our sector. Sustained commitment is essential to driving innovation and maintaining excellence within UK manufacturing. Despite external challenges—such as geopolitical tensions affecting global trade routes—we must remain steadfast in promoting domestic manufacturing and nurturing the next generation of skilled professionals.

As we face both opportunities and challenges, we should remember that manufacturing is deeply embedded in the history and identity of our nation. The MMMA and ISME stand firmly in support of UK manufacturing, and together—with the passion and dedication of our members—we are well positioned to shape a vibrant, prosperous, and socially impactful future for our industry.

I invite you to immerse yourself in the excitement of MACH 2026 and to join us in the MMMA / ISME Metalworking Village, where innovation meets collaboration. Your involvement is vital to realising our shared vision of a thriving manufacturing sector.
