MACH 2026 is fast approaching and is expected to attract thousands of attendees once again at the NEC in Birmingham from 20-24 April. Across the five exhibition halls, the dedicated technology zones will be focal points of vibrant activity. Throughout the week, exhibitors will showcase an array of new, inspiring engineering-based manufacturing technologies and solutions, including enthralling demonstrations of live working machinery and impressive product launches.

MACH is the UK’s largest event of its kind, bringing together the full spectrum of engineering and manufacturing technologies, techniques and industry experts under one roof. It provides a unique platform for businesses across the manufacturing sector to find solutions to current challenges and capitalise on emerging opportunities, driven by innovation, collaboration and shared insights.

The show is designed to guide and support manufacturers in addressing threats to business prosperity, such as rising operational costs, skills shortages and supply chain disruptions, enabling them to remain competitive in an evolving marketplace. This is reinforced by a recent MACH visitor survey, revealing that 68% of attendees are actively seeking new technologies and services at the event.

MACH is owned and organised by the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), which also encompasses a cluster of organisations, including Engineering Supply Chain UK (ESCUK), Additive Manufacturing UK (AMUK) and MTA Training.

James Selka, CEO of MTA, owners and organisers of the show, said: “As market conditions look to be turning more favourable across the manufacturing sector, this year, more than any other, is the year to visit MACH. We are placing a strong emphasis on highlighting the very best, latest technologies, showcased across multiple dedicated technology zones. No other UK exhibition brings together such a comprehensive overview of the manufacturing technologies industry.”

Technology Zones

The 14 technology zones at MACH 2026 have been designed to help attendees navigate the exhibition efficiently and identify the solutions most relevant to their needs. The event brings together the very best suppliers of machine tools, cutting tools, metrology equipment, additive manufacturing (3D printing), surface engineering, robotics and automation, sheet metal and metal forming technologies, as well as specialist software that is enabling and accelerating the digitalisation of manufacturing.

These innovations will be showcased by more than 500 exhibitors serving a broad range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, marine engineering, medical, food and agriculture. There will also be numerous opportunities to experience the latest innovations demonstrated live and in action.

Knowledge Hubs

Several technology zones will feature dedicated Knowledge Hubs, where attendees can engage directly with experts to better understand how to adopt new technologies and leverage them to enhance productivity, improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

These interactive hubs will focus on key industry topics, including automation and robotics, additive manufacturing, data and artificial intelligence, and consumable tooling. Their core purpose is to provide impartial advice as well as to signpost attendees to relevant exhibitor stands, where they can get more in-depth information.

MACH is renowned for bringing the entire manufacturing community together, including many who only meet once every two years at this event. Beyond the seminars, the show offers an unparalleled opportunity to discover the very latest cutting-edge technologies, engage in meaningful conversations, and forge connections that drive innovation and collaboration across UK manufacturing. For anyone working in the sector, MACH is an event not to be missed.
