The Complete Shop Floor Inspection System

Fast, accurate and reliable, the Axiom too CNC CMM comes in four different sizes with Y axis travel up to 1200mm. The Axiom too range of shop floor CMMs can be used with touch trigger probe, continuous contact scanning probe or with Aberlink’s revolutionary non-contact camera system.

The all aluminium bridge structure not only ensures that the Axiom too has low inertia and high acceleration to get the job done quickly, but also that the temperature of the machine rapidly follows the temperature of the room, ideal when the CMM is not housed in a controlled environment. Temperature compensation in the software reports results as if they had been measured at 20°C/68°F.

Krebs & Riedel Grinding Wheels

Krebs & Riedel who were founded in 1895 have been manufacturing high quality conventional, diamond and CBN abrasives for well over 100 years and we are able to count leading UK engineering companies such as Perkins Engines, Grundfos and Delphi Diesel Systems amongst our ever growing customer base. Krebs & Riedel who employ approx. 250 people and have a turnover of around £35m are constantly introducing new types of wheels with improved grain structures and novel bonding systems that enhance grinding wheel quality and optimise performance.

Diamond and CBN wheels that have been manufactured by Krebs & Riedel for more than 20 years are available from 3mm to over 900mm in diameter with peripheral grinding speeds of up to 160 m/s. Force is a physics-based optimization method that sets the maximum reliable feed for a particular cutting condition based on 4 factors:

Load on the cutting edge, spindle power, maximum chip thickness and maximum allowable feed. Force calculates ideal feed rates by analysing: tool geometry and parameters, material characteristics and cutting material, detailed cutting edge geometry and VERICUT Smart Part Technology. Force calculates cutting conditions using specific material characteristics, taking into account the strength of the material and the effects of friction and temperature. ETHOS: High speed 5-axis CNC machining centers

Numerically controlled machining center designed according to CMS’ philosophy: the machine is the result and culmination of experiences developed in the aerospace and automotive sectors. The structure and the technical solutions adopted, along with the selected components, ensure a highest level of component finish, high machining speeds, reliability, structural rigidity, operating flexibility and outstanding productivity.

ethos machine is also available with:
- APC extractable tables allow the loading and unloading outside the working area
- rotary table (TR): simplifies loading/unloading outside the machine and allows pendulum cycle using the complete working area
- double bridge with twin operating units
- 5-axis hybrid solution: milling + waterjet cutting system with catcher
- fully automatic universal system for holding complex shaped parts (UHF), designed and produced by CMS

IKON: Vertical rotating tables with double 5-axis operating unit

ikon is a 5-axis geometry machining centre with two vertical tables for the processing of aluminium and composites materials. Equipped with one or two horizontal operating units, it ensures high productivity. ikon allows a complete inner view by the operator.

VM 30K : Vertical CNC machining center for steel processing

The CMS vm 30k vertical CNC machining center is the perfect solution for milling complex three-dimensional parts requiring precision, repeatability and an excellent surface finish with minimum cycle times!

Its accurate design ensures that first-class rigidity is achieved, making the most of the range of operating units and electrospindles available.

The machine has been designed and produced with a monobloc structure to meet the demands of the aerospace, automotive, mould making and engineering industries, guaranteeing heavy roughing, semi-finishing and finishing of small-large components in Steel, Aluminum and Composite Materials.

The Aerotech System for the Composites industry removes the hot dust particles created during cutting of composite parts.

Advantages
By effectively air cooling the material and cutter it reduces machining temperatures by over 100°C.

This allows "Air Cooled Dry Cutting" operations, providing an alternative to machining with coolants and with "traditional" dry cutting.
