High international participation indicates the relevance of the trade fair / International trade associations fully supporting CastForge

CastForge is not just an important purchasing platform, it has also become well-established as a meeting point for the casting and forging industry.

Increase in the number of exhibitors from abroad

Ever since it was first held, the international importance of CastForge has increased continuously. The première in 2018 attracted exhibitors from a total of 18 countries. The corresponding number in 2022 was 26 countries. Approximately 370 exhibitors from around 30 countries are expected to take part in CastForge 2024. These numbers reflect the increasing international relevance of CastForge for the casting and forging industry.

International associations will be present in Stuttgart

The increasing international relevance of the trade fair is also shown by the registered stand areas of the partner associations. These stand areas have increased again.

Unione Italiana Stampatori Acciaio (UNISA), FUNDIGEX (Export Association of Spanish Foundries), the Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association (IDDMIB) and the Italian business development corporation Piemonte Agency are bringing more exhibitors from their countries to CastForge 2024 in Stuttgart.

“The current situation in the casting and forging industry in Spain depends to a large extent on economic activity in its customer industries. On the whole, it was not a bad year for foundries. We recorded a moderate increase of 1.4 per cent in castings to 1 million cast tonnes. During the first CastForge in 2018, FUNDIGEX was certain that the trade fair would be one of the most important events in the sector. In 2022 we had a delegation comprising 14 companies. We have managed to acquire even more exhibitors for CastForge 2024,” said Marina Giacopinelli, Managing Director of FUNDIGEX, the Export Association of Spanish Foundries.

The Association of Portuguese Metallurgical, Mechanical Engineering and Similar Industrial Companies (AIMMAP) will be represented at CastForge for the first time. This association regards CastForge as an important platform for demonstrating the efficiency of the Portuguese metal industry. Mafalda Gramaxo, General Director of AIMMAP, is convinced: “CastForge is not only the leading trade fair for castings and forgings with processing, it is also held on one of our most important export markets of METAL PORTUGAL. Visitors to our joint stand will be able to see for themselves our commitment, quality, responsibility, sustainability and competence.”

CastForge 2024 will also represent a première for the Hungarian association MÖSZ – Magyar Öntészeti Szövetség. During the 27th Hungarian Foundry Conference in Herceghalom in October 2023, a large number of discussions were held with interested parties. These discussions have now led to a joint delegation. “The Hungarian association MÖSZ has 75 member companies which are representative of the Hungarian foundry industry. A total of five to six foundries will take part in CastForge 2024 under the auspices of MÖSZ. The objectives of their participation are to attract the attention of potential customers, forge new business relationships and further extend existing business relationships,” said Gábor Zelei, Executive Secretary General of Magyar Öntészeti Szövetség (MÖSZ).

The Fédération Forge Fonderie from France will also take part in CastForge 2024 for the first time with a joint stand containing just under 20 companies.

With its increasing international relevance, CastForge provides all responsible persons from purchasing, procurement, design and development with an ideal opportunity during the three-day trade fair to meet existing suppliers and develop new business relationships with foundries, forges and specialised processors from all over the world.
