TextureJet has updated Desktop Jet, a mini version of the established Precision Jet machine, for 2026.
With external dimensions of just 673 x 970 x 788mm (w x h x d), this is a small but mighty bit of kit that can be mounted on a desktop. It can be used for superior edge shaping, improved surface preparation, and durable part-marking, offering significant advantages for industries working with high-value components and advanced materials.
Just like PrecisionJet, this is a high precision multi-axis machining centre for surface processing with many benefits:
- Easy to use with convenient motion controls on front face
- Extremely high precision
- Versatile adaptable and repeatable
- 3 / 4 Axis of motion in X, Y and Z axis with optional A axis
- The self-contained machining chamber with safety interlocks
- Flexible mounting bed plate or custom mounting arrangements available
However, with its significantly smaller footprint, Desktop Jet is perfect for small batches of parts requiring precision finishing, for development teams looking for a small, adaptable machine and for factories with limited space.
Jonathan Mitchell-Smith, CEO and founder of TextureJet says “Following the success of Precision Jet, we created Desktop Jet to meet the demand for a smaller machine for smaller components. This machine gives more companies the chance to enjoy the benefits of using electrochemical jet machining for their surface processing needs as the budget and space requirements are significantly lower than with the larger machines”.
TextureJet is proud to have developed the next generation of targeted and sustainable surface processing technology. This attractive alternative to existing technologies for edge shaping, surface preparation and part marking results in reductions in factory and toxic footprint, as well as process and operational costs. The process is flexible, easily automated, scalable, and cost-effective, making it an excellent choice for all high value manufacturing industries.
