MACH 2026 to highlight the importance of tooling through expert-led seminars

With just weeks to go, MACH 2026, the UK’s flagship event for the manufacturing and engineering sector, returns to the NEC Birmingham from 20–24 April 2026. The event will bring together the latest innovations, industry expertise and valuable networking opportunities under one roof.

MACH is owned and organised by the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), which also encompasses a cluster of organisations, including Engineering Supply Chain UK (ESCUK), Additive Manufacturing UK (AMUK) and MTA Training.

Alongside the cutting-edge technology on display, MACH 2026 will be showcasing tooling through a comprehensive programme of tooling seminars. These sessions will offer attendees practical, thought-provoking insights from leading experts demonstrating the role that tooling will play in helping to shape the future of UK manufacturing.

Tooling seminars: Driving innovation on the shop floor

A major highlight of MACH 2026 is the Tooling Zone, which will host a dedicated seminar theatre featuring expert-led presentations on cutting tool technologies, insert selection and advanced machining strategies. Designed with practical application in mind, these sessions will equip attendees with actionable insights to boost throughput, enhance efficiency, improve quality and future-proof their operations.

The seminar programme will include speakers from leading tooling manufacturers, including Kennametal, Iscar, Dormer Pramet, Ceratizit, ZCC Cutting Tools Europe, Seco, Quickgrind, Guhring, MA Ford, Europa Tool, Kyocera SGS, and Mapal. Together, they offer attendees a unique opportunity to access a wealth of expertise, ask questions and gain valuable knowledge.

James Selka, CEO of the MTA, said: “We’re putting this important sector in the spotlight through a series of tooling seminars. These expert-led sessions will showcase the latest innovations and practical solutions, whilst demonstrating how businesses can successfully implement new tooling technologies to maximise return on investment.”

Machining & Tooling Knowledge Hub: Impartial, expert advice tailored to manufacturing challenges

In addition to the tooling seminars, the Tooling Zone will feature the Machining & Tooling Knowledge Hub, a specific area where attendees can engage directly with experts to discuss their tooling requirements. From materials and surface finish to tolerances and sector-specific demands, attendees will receive practical, impartial advice tailored to their individual manufacturing challenges.

The hub will also offer opportunities to experience live demonstrations in action alongside expert guidance on investing in tooling solutions to maximise productivity and efficiency.

The Machining & Tooling Knowledge Hub is designed to help attendees get the most from their time at MACH 2026, ensuring they leave with valuable insights, greater confidence and meaningful connections to support their business growth.

MACH 2026: The year to visit

Beyond the seminar programme, MACH 2026 offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore the latest advanced technologies and build connections that drive innovation and collaboration across UK manufacturing. For anyone working within the sector, it is an event not to be missed.
