MACH is widely recognised as the UK’s largest manufacturing exhibition, typically bringing together more than 500 exhibitors to showcase their latest advanced manufacturing technologies, processes and solutions. Owned and organised by the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), this biennial event will return to the NEC Birmingham from 20-24 April, promising to deliver a platform for the very latest in a broad range of manufacturing disciplines, from sheet metal, metalworking and fabrication to tooling and automation.
Sheet metal, metalworking and fabrication remain central to the UK manufacturing industry. Products made from sheet metal feed into almost every sector, from automotive and aerospace to power generation and defence. They are closely linked with other manufacturing technologies that will be on display at MACH 2026, such as laser cutting and welding.
The MACH exhibition floor is organised into several dedicated technology zones, designed to make navigation easier and help visitors quickly find areas of interest. The zones include sheet metal, metalworking and fabrication, tooling, automation and robotics, additive manufacturing and a wide range of other specialist areas.
The Sheet Metal, Metalworking & Fabrication Zone will be co-located with the well-established MMMA Village, which is hosted by the Metalworking Machinery Makers’ Association (MMMA), the UK’s dedicated trade association for the industry. The creation of a central hub for exhibitors specialising in these technologies ensures that Hall 6 at MACH is recognised as the showcase for excellence in all forms of sheet metal, forming and fabrication technologies.
James Selka, CEO at the MTA, said: ‘Our decision for this year’s MACH to create this new zone to showcase the latest technology in sheet metal, metalforming and fabrication is definitely the right one. We are providing attendees interested in this technology with an easy, convenient way to see the latest cutting-edge products and solutions in one place.’
The MMMA Village promotes the interests of its member companies, which are predominantly involved in the manufacture and sale of metalforming machinery and related products. This includes high-speed and hydraulic presses, straight side presses, manual die clamping, coil handling lines, servo forming, benders and stackers.
Exhibitors in this zone will demonstrate inspiring metalforming machinery and ancillary products, including presses, bar and tube working machines and specialist tooling. This offers attendees a unique opportunity to see a wide range of metalworking equipment and machinery live and under power, whilst also gaining access to expert advice and guidance.
MACH is designed to help attendees expand their knowledge and understanding of the opportunities available to adopt new technologies whilst benefiting from practical guidance on how businesses can improve productivity, increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
This exhibition attracts around 26,000 visitors from across the manufacturing community, from CEOs, managing directors and buyers to engineers and designers. It provides an ideal platform to discover the latest innovations, see live demonstrations, build supplier relationships and gain practical insights from leading industry experts.
