With the KMP 600P, KUKA Robotics now offers a mobile platform that is particularly suitable for confined production environments. As one of the world’s leading specialists for automation solutions, KUKA is expanding its portfolio of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) with this new option for payloads of up to 600kg.

The most compact platform in KUKA’s high-performance P-series to date, its excellent price-performance ratio makes it attractive to companies in all industries that want to make their production or intralogistics more efficient. Thanks to differential drive technology, the platform can not only move forwards and backwards, but can also turn on the spot and take curves with a defined radius. This makes it ideal for applications where space is critical.

The KUKA KMP 600P can be used not only for efficient material supply from the warehouse to stations, assembly lines or preassembly lines, but also for process linking or reliable point-to-point transports.

“With the KMP 600P, we are expanding our AMR product range with a compact and cost-efficient platform,” says Julian Stockschlaeder, Head of AMR Business Development at KUKA. “It adds a further component to our portfolio on KUKA’s path to becoming a volume player and scaling up our product business in the AMR market.”

Transport capacity up to three tons – expandable to six tons

With the new KMP 3000P, KUKA is launching a real heavyweight in the AMR sector. The mobile platform can transport loads of up to three tons. Its omnidirectional drive ensures maximum flexibility in the tightest of spaces in intralogistics. The platform is always ready for operation thanks to its inductive charging concept, which enables flexible charging during the process.

Mobile robotics is a decisive factor when it comes to optimizing intralogistics processes. The KMP 3000P builds on the success of its smaller sister, the KMP 1500P, and adds another one and a half tons in terms of transport capacity. With the ability to move up to three tons, it opens up a wide range of applications for various industries. Whether for material supply in production, process interlinking without conveyor belts or classic point-to-point transport – the KMP 3000P masters the transport of large, unwieldy, and heavy components without any problems.

If the maximum payload exceeds three tons, the KMP 3000P also has the right features for this: with load-sharing, two platforms cooperate with each other and can transport up to six tons in total. One of the two platforms becomes the master vehicle and sets the direction.

Effortless commissioning without programming knowledge

Thanks to the user-friendly KUKA.AMR Fleet software, commissioning of KUKA AMRs is also effortless and does not require any programming knowledge. The drag-and-drop function and an extensive function library enable rapid workflow optimization, saving time and resources.

KUKA offers a wide range of mobile robotics which covers the entire value creation chain and perfectly meets the requirements of intralogistics and production in the new networked industry.
